Art + Cook
Role: Design Strategy, Industrial Design, Project management, Design Director.
My role was to fulfill a gap in the Art+Cook product line and to bring a series of unique brands to the shelf, from concept and design to branding, packaging, and sell-in to retail merchant teams as part of a scrappy startup team within Art+Cook. We (myself, the Jr. Designer, and some borrowed graphic designers) achieved this within 15 months.
The collection of bowls was positioned for Heat and Eat~ which is an evolution of the “bowl culture” trend. We set up a system that was expressive and functional for nesting when stored and delightful when stacked.
Sea Ranch
The mixed material collection which was designed and positioned for entertaining in outdoor settings and gatherings. We used contrasting materials and sustainably harvested wood for a richer value add that related to our story.
